Initial Unilever Research

Unilever makes and sells products under more than four hundred brand names world wide and two billion people use them on any given day. 'No matter who you are, or where in the world you are, chances are that our products are a familiar part of your daily routine. Every day, around the world people reach for Unilever products.'



The first product i have chosen by Unilever is Dove.  This short 32 second advert is focused on the middle classed, and specialises for the female critics.  During this advert each girl reads a letter to her armpit, the advert is almost comical, and really focuses on the selling product, of dove deodorant. Towards to end of the advert the product is shown very quickly.

 This is the print media product for the dove television advert, It has the same comical aspect as the T.V as the lady is attempting to lick her armpit. Both media products are for the middle classed.



The second product I have chosen is PG tips, this advert is extremely different to the dove advert, but has the same comical effect. During this advert the PG tips monkey is making three different cups of tea, one triangled PG tips tea bag, one circled tea bag and then a digger. This is where the comical aspect comes in.


This is the print media product for PG tips, The monkey being the main focal point for the company. Both media products are aimed for young adults and even children due to the monkey teddy.
