Synopsis of Dove advert
We have been set a new task to create an advert to re brand
a Unilever product.
The new advert for Dove is to take a group of people, both
male and female aged between 14- 20. We also intend to ask 8-10 different
people to appear in the advert.
At the beginning of the advert we plan to have a shot of
each person just thinking about the question which they have just been asked
which will be ''What is your personal insecurity about yourself?'' This
question will also appear on screen. After being asked this question, we will
have a few second shot of each person thinking about their answer. All of these
shots will be mid shots. These shots will be at least 2 seconds each. The
background of these shots will be a white background.
After the shots of them thinking about it, they will give an
answer as to what they do not like about themselves. These shots will also be a
few seconds each (3 seconds) All of these shots will also be mid shots. During
all of these shots the background is going to be a plain white background like
the original dove adverts.
They will then be asked ''what do you like about
yourself?'', this question will also appear on screen. The dove product what we
will be promoting is the dove body spray, both for men and women. They will
give an answer about what they do like about themselves and what make them feel
confidence in them self. All of these shots of everyone will be mid shots. They
will also be at least 3 seconds each. Instead of having the original white
background like the normal Dove advert, we intend to have different color
background for each person as they appear on screen.
After this then will then be asked ''What do you like about
each other?'' In this section of the advert, all of the people in the advert
will be paired up with people to then tell them what they like about the other
person. These shots will also be around 3 seconds each, they will be mid shots.
The backgrounds will also be different colors for each shot.
At the end of the advert we plan to have a shot of the body
spray at the end of the advert above the slogan ''Love your insecurities''
